The Five Beats

How your night comes together

  1. Co-create the Vision

We meet, in person or on Zoom, and I listen until I see your night the way you do.

  2. Create Calm

Your planning portal does the heavy lifting, with check-ins and no pressure. I sort the logistics with your venue.

  3. Let it Bloom

Set up early, lighting in place, no cables to see. The room is ready before your guests are.

  4. Lead the Crescendo

Music shaped around your must-plays and moments, following the mood of the room.

  5. Finish with Warmth

The last song, chosen on purpose, and a personal goodbye.

Requests

Your night, your rules

If either of you asks for a song, it's next. Parents and the bridal party get theirs within a few songs.

Guest requests work however you'd like: none at all, through someone you trust, my judgement on the night, or fully open with a QR code and their name on the screen.

Good questions

Do you MC as well as DJ?

Yes. MC duties are part of every wedding. I guide the entrances, speeches and key moments and keep the night's timeline on track.

How do we choose the music?

However suits you. You get your own planning portal, a system built by DJs for DJs that I use for every booking. Add songs there, text me a Shazam screenshot, email a link or send a photo of a list on a napkin. Then we shape it together, in person or on Zoom.

Do we need to organise anything with the venue?

No. I talk to your venue directly about access, power and timings, so that's one less thing on your list.

How far ahead should we book?

Six to twelve months is ideal for weddings. Dates stay open until the deposit is paid.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit locks in your date. The balance is due two weeks before the night.

Do you travel to our venue?

Yes. Travel is free anywhere from Brisbane to Gympie, then $1 per kilometre beyond that. It's a free-travel zone, not a boundary, so further afield is fine too.

Are you insured?

Yes. Ferngully Productions carries public liability insurance and I can send the certificate to your venue. I'm also a member of the Disc Jockey Association of Australia.

Let's talk about your wedding

Send your date and venue. I'll check I'm free and we'll set up a quick chat before anything is locked in.
